The well-established HKTDC Education & Careers Expo promotes engagement between a wide range of institutions and employers, on one hand, and students and job seekers, on the other. It provides the ideal platform to present the latest information on further studies, continuous education and careers in an array of industries, locally and globally.

The 2016 edition featured more than 800 institutions from 17 countries and regions, and attracted visitors who are keen to find exciting and fulfilling opportunities for their future lives, both in the classroom and in the workplace. Exhibitors at the Expo enjoyed the chance to interact directly with visitiors.

Education theme days
The education theme days focus on the educational opportunities in a distinct geographical region. In 2016, the Expo featured overseas education in the Chinese mainland, United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Colleges, universities and other academic institutions highlighted courses, admission procedures and lifestyle aspects. The educational establishments also got the opportunity to hear the needs from potential students, for forward planning. img

Careers theme days
The Expo also served the purpose for introducing the specified career industries, giving relevant companies and professional bodies the opportunity to present a comprehensive array of job information, including entry requirement, career path, industry culture and latest development. The 2016 edition featured sectors included Culinary & Bakery, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, Internship, and Aviation.

Youth Attraction Special events
In 2016, the Youth Zone returned and put a special focus on Youth Development, helping young people spark ideas and inspiration for meaningful careers and directions. The Expo provides a busy schedule of value-added activities, including seminars, and sharing sessions designated to students and job-seekers. The seminars cover a host of topics on career development, professional qualifications, local and overseas study opportunities and more. Celebrities and industry professionals share their experiences and offer advice.
