abc "In 2005, Amabile started out as a fashion retailer in Japan, selling women's contemporary dresses imported from New York, London and Paris. Last autumn, we became the exclusive distributor of a New York brand – Nora Gardner – for the Asian market. Designed for working women, Nora Gardner's clothing is comfortable to wear and does not need ironing. Currently, our products are sold mainly in Japan. We are exhibiting here for the first time to promote Nora Gardner to Asian buyers. Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter provides an ideal platform for us to connect with wholesalers and retailers in this region, helping us to develop new markets. We have met with new buyers from Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia and Poland. Buyers' responses have been very positive. We have decided to join the fair again next year."

abc"Established in 1981, Antonhill has been serving a wide range of clients from the private and public sectors by providing one-stop corporate uniform solutions. At this year's Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter, the debut Corporate Fashion and Uniforms zone provides an ideal platform for us to promote our comprehensive corporate uniform service to overseas buyers so that more buyers know that corporate fashion and uniforms are important to companies especially in the service industries. We have received serious enquiries from buyers from Australia, the Philippines and Singapore. Several overseas journalists from the Philippines, Malaysia and the UK will introduce our corporate uniform solutions and designs to their readers. To enhance the overall image of corporate fashion, we'll continue to support the Corporate Fashion and Uniforms zone next year."

abc "Book On the Park is a menswear brand launched in Korea in 2014. I enjoy reading books which inspire me to create different designs for menswear. This is my first exhibition at Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter. Currently, Korea is my major market. I want to let more buyers know my brand and develop worldwide markets through the fair. The Hong Kong fair is a good place for me to meet with professional buyers. I have met with new buyers from many places such as the Chinese mainland, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and the US. I am happy to come here and I want to come back next year."
Boo Gun, Park, Designer, Book On the Park, Korea

abc "We offer two lines for contemporary men's wear, namely NO PLAN and LVMA (Leave Me Alone). Korean pop singers such as Jin from BTS and Yook Seung Jae from B TO B like wearing our garments. Hong Kong is an international city, so it is the perfect place to host Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter. We are exhibiting here for the first time to promote our men's wear to worldwide buyers and to test market response. In just a few hours after the opening of the fair, we have met with two potential buyers from Malaysia and the Philippines. The buyer from the Philippines wants to buy 6,000 caps from us and will come again on the second day of the fair to finalise the order. He is also interested in buying our hoodies. It's a good show."

abc"This is my first-time participation in the International Fashion Designers' Showcase at Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter. I am showcasing Knock Down, which is the Fall/Winter 2018 collection for my KETIQUE brand. The main feature of my collection is that each dress is transformable into different styles. For example, a bare-waist dress can be transformed into a double-layered top. My new collection has been featured in one of the fashion parades, attracting many buyers to visit my booth. It's a good experience for me to be here to meet with buyers from around the world and to exchange ideas with fashion designers who are also exhibiting their designs here. I have met with potential buyers from Malaysia and the Chinese mainland. An Indonesia boutique owner placed an onsite order for my legwarmers."
Elizabeth Njo May Fen, Designer, Indonesia

abc"Our company is a specialist manufacturer of functional and fashionable fabrics, outerwear, sportswear, activewear and urban wear in Taiwan. After establishing many new contacts at last year's Hong Kong Fashion Week for Spring/Summer, we have joined this year's Fall/Winter edition for the first time to promote our garments under the Morr brand and demonstrate our strong production capabilities. We are showcasing our products not only in our booth but also in the product display area. One of the fashion parades also features our latest collections. All these promotional channels help us to enhance our brand's visibility and attract the attention of international buyers. Eighty per cent of the buyers whom we have met at the fair are new. We have connected with new buyers from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Malaysia who have expressed great interest in our Morr brand and our functional fabrics. Due to favourable responses from buyers, we have decided to return to Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter next year."

abc"Last year, our company was appointed the sole Asia-Pacific distributor of handbags from the Céline Dion brand. Everyone knows that Céline Dion is a famous singer, but not many people in this region know the existence of the Céline Dion brand. This is the first time that we are showcasing the Céline Dion brand's 2018 Fall/Winter handbag collection at Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter. E-commerce companies from the Chinese mainland, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore are interested in buying our products while buyers from Korea and the Philippines want to be the exclusive distributor for their countries. To test market response, an Australia buyer is going to place a trial order worth US$3,000 at the fair. Some buyers are keen to seek our help to contact Céline Dion for the development of garments and accessories for her brand. The fair provides an important platform for us to promote the Céline Dion brand to international buyers and it also opens up new business opportunities. We plan to participate in the fair again next year."

abc"Renowned for its high quality and fine workmanship, MsEnvy specialises in the design and production of silk garments. We have been participating in Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter for many years because it is an effective channel for us to promote our new designs and reach new buyers. At this year's fair, we are introducing our new technology which can create unique dyeing effects on silk garments. Plain colours such as grey, sky blue, pink and denim blue are now available. We can also produce this kind of silk garments according to the pantone colours provided by our customers. This new technology has attracted a lot of interest not only from our existing customers but also from new buyers. This year we have been busy answering customers' enquiries and we've met with more new buyers than last year. Three new buyers from France, Singapore and Spain who have their own brands are interested in our new technology and we'll help them to develop their own products. The business results at the fair have been encouraging."

abc"Antalok is a leading sourcing agent which serves hypermarkets in Hungary and other Eastern European countries. This is my third time visiting Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter. I like the Hong Kong fair because I can always find reliable suppliers who provide good quality, nice designs and competitive prices. At this year's fair, I am particularly looking for babies' and children's wear, gloves and bags. The market for babies' and children's wear is growing steadily in Eastern Europe because grandparents like to buy garments for their grandchildren. I have found two potential suppliers of children's wear and bags from Hong Kong. It'll take a few months for me to confirm orders with these new suppliers. Usually, I'll buy one 20-foot container for each order. As my company serves a lot of corporate customers, I'll also visit the new Corporate Fashion and Uniforms zone and find suitable suppliers for them."
J. Antal, Owner, Antalok Merchandising Pte Ltd., Hungary

abc"Filia International Inc. is an importer and wholesaler of babies' wear, kids' wear and women's underwear in Japan. This is my second-time visit to Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter. It's convenient for me to come to the Hong Kong fair to source new products because the flight from Hong Kong to Japan takes several hours only. The Hong Kong fair is the right place where I can find reliable suppliers who can offer good quality and good designs. At the fair, I have found three potential suppliers of denim garments for kids and women. I'll contact them again after the fair to collect more details and plan to buy at least 1,000 pieces per style."

Kohshi Matsuyama, President, Filia International Inc., Japan

Our survey showed that among the online shoppers in Vietnam, 69 per cent of them buy clothing. I have come to Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter for the first time to find new brands. It is a professional fashion event where I can find many new brands which I have not seen in Vietnam. I believe that new brands will have great potential in Vietnam which has a population of 93 million people. I am interested in five new brands from Hong Kong and India. I'll introduce our e-commerce platform to the brand owners so that they know how to sell their branded products through our platform."

Ngo Manh Cuong, Business Development Director, FPT Online JSC, Vietnam

abc"Intropia is a famous brand which offers medium to high-quality clothing for women. We have 34 stores in Spain, one store in Paris and one store in London and also run an online store. I am here looking for everything related to women's clothing from dresses, evening wear, cardigans and blouses to footwear and fashion accessories. I have found 15-20 potential OEM manufacturers from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and India. If the supplier can meet our requirements, we'll buy 300-1,000 pieces per style. We hope to develop long-term relationships with suppliers. Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter brings together many suppliers and a wide variety of women's clothing, so it makes sourcing easier."

I am particularly interested in one Hong Kong brand and one New York brand for ladies' wear, and one Korean brand and one Hong Kong brand for men's wear and I'll consider bringing these new brands to the Thailand market. The fair provides a good opportunity for me to talk to some Hong Kong fashion designers right after the fashion parades. abc"Established in 2015, our online shopping website offers branded garments, fashion accessories, footwear and watches to consumers in GCC countries. I have been visiting Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter every year since 2016 to look for new brands with stylish designs. I enjoy watching fashion parades through which I can select new designers for co-operation. At this year's fair, I am particularly interested in Céline Dion's fashion accessories and five designer brands for women's wear from Hong Kong. I am waiting for designers to send me their product photos. After selecting their designs, I'll buy 60-100 pieces for each brand to test market response. I like the Hong Kong Fair because every time I come here, I can find new suppliers,
new brands and unique designs."

Juvy Blanco, Operations Manager, Justlounge, UAE

abc"Musinsa is one of the largest online fashion stores in Korea, selling casual wear, sportswear and fashion accessories. I have come to Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter for the first time to source trendy sportswear and casual wear and look for OEM manufacturers for our four private labels. The business matching service provided by the HKTDC is very good. Through this service, I have found five to six potential suppliers of knitwear, denim wear and sweat shirts. Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter is an interesting show. The fashion parades held during the fair period provides a good opportunity for me to see the latest fashion trends in Asia."

Ryu Han Woo, Manager, Musinsa, Korea

abc"OTTO has an online store in Germany, selling different kinds of consumer products. Our sourcing team is based on the Chinese mainland. This is my second time visiting Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter to look for new suppliers and new designs. It is a well-organised show. The fairground has been organised into different product zones, so it is easier for me to find what I want. The suppliers here provide good quality. Up till now, I have found three potential suppliers who have applied special fabrics to their garments for working women. Our sourcing team will discuss with these suppliers and see how we can co-operate with them. It's a good place to look for special designs. I'll come again next year."

abc"Launched 25 years ago, Silk and Cashmere is a famous brand for silk garments and cashmere garments. Apart from running 40 stores in Turkey, we have a strong sales network in other European countries and also operate an online store selling our products to worldwide consumers. Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter provides a good place for us to establish new business networks and get more ideas from suppliers. We plan to buy more than US$4 million worth of silk and cashmere garments for our Fall/Winter collections through the fair. As we buy large quantities, we want to get good prices from suppliers. However, we can't sacrifice quality. So far we have found two to three potential suppliers from the Chinese mainland. We are going to talk to more suppliers in the next few days."
