Gateway to Boundless Business Opportunities
10 February 2017 – Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and co-organised by The Hong Kong Exporters’ Association (HKEA), the world’s leading 32nd Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 27-30 April. This year, the Fair will welcome over 4,300 worldwide exhibitors along with new comer from Ireland, forming the world’s leading marketplace of its kind and providing effective one-stop marketing and sourcing platform.
International fair offers boundless business opportunities
Hong Kong is an important world-renowned sourcing centre for giftware. Being the leading gift fair in the world, the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair attracted about 50,000 global buyers from 134 countries and regions last year, serving as an ideal platform for exhibitors to expand business in international markets. Various participating countries and regions will establish group pavilions at the Fair, namely the Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Italy and so on.
Debut of Hair Ornament & Accessories zone
A number of theme zones will be established, from which the highlighted Hall of Fine Designs houses high quality products of about 130 brands, such as B.Duck, Cross, Hugo Boss, Kaweco, Moleskine, Nina Ricci, Police, Pork Chop & Friends, Sanrio, TeamGreen and so on.
Catering to the latest market trends, Hair Ornament & Accessories zone will make its debut while Startup zone will set to offer innovative and unique pieces from new entrepreneurs and designers.
A number of popular theme zones will return this year: World of Gift Ideas will feature products with creative and trend-setting designs while Art & DIY Gifts will feature delicate handmade crafts and related tools and materials. Other product zones include Fine Porcelain Gifts, Green Gifts, Hiking and Camping Products, iAccessories and Party & Festive Items so forth.
The Hong Kong Exporters’ Association Advocates Original Designs
The Hong Kong Exporters’ Association (HKEA), the Fair’s co-organiser, will establish an exciting pavilion, showcasing the competitive edge of Hong Kong exporters. The pavilion will include two major feature zones: Isle of Originality and Smart Design Village.
The HKEA has organised the Hong Kong Smart Gifts Design Awards since 2012 with an aim to promote the high-quality local designs. In order to further develop and expand the giftware industry, the Awards has renamed as the “Hong Kong Smart Design Awards” (HKSDA) in 2017. Apart from gifts category, Home and Houseware category is added in 2017 edition. The Awards will continue to foster the business development of Hong Kong manufacturers and exporters and nurture local design talents. The award presentation ceremony will be held on 20 April during the Hong Kong Houseware Fair and 27 April during the Gifts Fair, while winning pieces will be displayed at both fairs.
Various Activities Facilitate Business Interaction
Product demonstrations and various networking events will offer golden chances to meet with quality buyers and industry players. A range of seminars and forums during the fair period will also cover a full spectrum of hot topics in premium gifts market.
The concurrent Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair will take place at AsiaWorld-Expo, offering expanded sourcing opportunities for gift and premium buyers. A free shuttle bus service will run between the HKCEC and the AsiaWorld-Expo at regular intervals during the course of the two fairs.
