In a highly competitive business environment, effective marketing channels are vitally important. The HKTDC International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair 2017 provides suppliers with unparalleled opportunities to meet with quality buyers from around the world in a highly professional and inspirational environment. It provides a showcase for exhibitors to introduce fresh ideas, innovative products and new collections to the market, as well as to build relationships within the industry.

Effective Trading Platform
The fair has a proven track record, with the 2016 event attracting over 18,000 buyers. The 285 exhibitors from eight countries and regions included new participation from South Korea and Portugal, plus group pavilions representing the key home textiles & furnishings-producing areas of the Chinese mainland and India; collectively they presented a comprehensive range of household, green and HORECA textiles items, including furnishings, bedding, curtains and carpets.

Making the Right Connections

Themed zones highlight key categories of textiles and furnishings, and enable suppliers to connect easily with the target buyers. The Hall of Glamour turns the spotlight on top-quality, design-led home furnishing and household textile products, including branded collections – it provides an excellent showcase for the latest trends in the industry.
Other categories include:

  • Baby & Bedroom Textiles

International Marketing Director, Associacao Home From Portugal, Portugal
“Portugal is very strong in the production of high quality home textiles with 90-95% of our products being exported to different markets. Besides household consumption, our customers include a number of hotels, restaurants, hospitals and spa centres. We are very keen to develop the markets in Asia and Hong Kong International Home Furnishing and Textiles Fair is a perfect place to find new buyers in this part of the world. This is our second-time participation in the fair and we are featuring 20 trademarks from Portugal with a wide range of home textile items such as bed linens, bedding sets and towels in different styles. The buyers’ response is very positive. We’ve got in touch with many potential buyers from different places including retailers, distributors, hotels and restaurants from Hong Kong, Korea and Switzerland. Everything looks really good and we look forward to developing business with them.”

Enriching the Experience
The Product Demo and Launch allows exhibitors to introduce new products in an interactive environment, while product displays staged throughout the fairground highlight innovative design and key trends in colours and style. Seminars address hot topics within the industry, including market intelligence. Finally, the networking reception brings exhibitors together with buyers as well as industry players.

Extra Buyers
The fair takes place concurrently with the acclaimed HKTDC Hong Kong Houseware Fair, the leading event in Asia of its kind, providing textiles and furnishings exhibitors with an additional source of buyers in closely related categories.
