“We have been participating in the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show since the launch of our ‘Dancing Stone’ technique in 2011. The Hong Kong show is the right place for us to look for new licensees and to support our existing licensees because manufacturers, traders and retailers from all over the world come here. To protect our intellectual property rights, we are taking this opportunity to let international buyers know that we are the inventor of the ‘Dancing Stone’ technique. We organised an award presentation ceremony and a jewellery parade on the first day of the show. We will maintain our presence in this show and organise our award presentation ceremony at the show every year.”

“Founded in 2002, Frank Wu Design is a leading jewellery design company on the Chinese mainland that provides ODM service. We have 30 in-house designers headed by a French design director. We have registered our ttf brand in Paris and opened a physical store there to sell haute joaillerie. We have joined the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show for many years to promote our design capability and strengthen our brand. This year, a Russian buyer likes our designs and craftsmanship and is interested in buying our solitaire diamond rings. Two mainland buyers from Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces have expressed their intention to place orders. This is an important event that we cannot afford to miss because it attracts both the Chinese mainland and overseas buyers.”

“Thousand Million started out as a loose diamond wholesaler in 1980 and transformed into a diamond jewellery manufacturer in 1998. The US has been our major market and we also sell our products to the Chinese mainland and Europe. We are a long-term supporter of the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show because it provides an ideal platform for us to promote our corporate image, to look for new customers, to explore new markets and to understand the market needs of emerging markets. The timing of the show is excellent because March is the best time for large retailers to formulate their yearly strategic sourcing plans. This year we have met new buyers from Turkey and the UK who are keen to buy our products. “With a history of 25 years, Hassan’s Jewellery has three retail shops in Kuwait, selling all kinds of jewellery products and loose diamonds. I visit the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show every year because I can buy directly from manufacturers and wholesalers. More importantly, I can find new designs and good prices here. I am planning to buy US$100,000 worth of various jewellery products at the show. So far, I have spent US$40,000 on buying colour gemstone jewellery and diamond jewellery from two Hong Kong suppliers. I will buy 18K gold jewellery from an Italian supplier soon. I also visited the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show where I bought US$450,000 worth of loose diamonds from a Hong Kong supplier. As our jewellery business is steady, I will keep coming back to source new items.”

“Established in 2005, Gold4U.ru is a leading jewellery e-tailer in Russia, focusing on diamond jewellery. I have visited the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show for more than 10 times because it is convenient for me to come to Hong Kong to meet so many suppliers at one place. That means I do not need to go to other jewellery shows. Quality is our top priority when it comes to sourcing because we usually provide our own designs. In Russia, there is a market for medium-priced jewellery. In particular, diamond engagement rings are popular in our market. “Established in 1924, Na Hoku operates 66 jewellery stores in 13 states in the US. Our fine jewellery is characterised by the essence of Hawaiian and island lifestyle. The timing of the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show is good because we can test market response to new products and will place bigger orders for the holiday season if the market response is good. The Hong Kong show is a barometer of the latest jewellery trends. It is an amazing show with a lot of new ideas and new designs on offer. At this year’s show, we are looking for pearl jewellery and gemstone jewellery. Up till now, we have placed orders with two Hong Kong suppliers for US$50,000 worth of pearl jewellery and gemstone jewellery.”

This is my first time visiting the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, but my colleagues come here every year because it is an important sourcing event. Through the HKTDC’s business matching service, I have identified two to three potential suppliers which provide exactly what I want. After receiving their quotations, I’ll place orders by the end of March and my initial order will be at least 100 pieces. I like the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show very much. It’s a huge show where I can find high-quality suppliers and new designs.”

“Established in 1840, W.Kruk is the oldest jewellery retailer in Poland which runs more than 100 stores and sells all kinds of jewellery from fashionable items to luxury items. As our business is growing, we will open several new stores this year. This is my first visit to the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. I am particularly looking for trendy and delicate jewellery and silver or gold-plated chokers which are well-liked by our customers. I have found two to three new suppliers from the Chinese mainland. If everything is good, we will buy at least 100 pieces as our trial order. I enjoy this visit very much because I can meet with a lot of suppliers and find a lot of inspiration. This is our second visit to the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show. At this show, we bought diamond rings worth US$100,000 from a Thailand supplier and photographic equipment from a Hong Kong supplier. We are happy to have found a jewellery display supplier from Hong Kong which accepts small orders, so we bought five jewellery displays from this supplier. We like the Hong Kong show because it is the biggest jewellery shows with so many booths and products.”

I visit the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show and the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show every year because there are many good suppliers of loose diamonds and diamond jewellery from different countries and regions. The two shows are very well-organised. At the two shows, I have found three new suppliers of diamond jewellery and four new suppliers of loose diamonds. This is my second time visiting the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show and the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show. I am looking for loose pearls, jewellery findings, stainless steel jewellery, silver jewellery and jewellery displays. Stainless steel and silver jewellery are popular items in our market. I have found one potential supplier of silver jewellery which offers good designs and I will find more new suppliers on the last two days of the Jewellery Show. I spent three days at the Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show where I bought US$10,000 worth of loose pearls from three new suppliers, and I will buy more from them if their pearls can meet our requirements.
