19 June 2015 – International Conference & Exhibition of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products (ICMCM) will be held from 13-15 August 2015 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association Ltd (MCMIA), ICMCM enters the 14th edition and continues to be the occasion for industry players to gather and keep abreast of the latest developments in Chinese medicine and health products.

Benjamin Chau, Deputy Executive Director, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, said, “There is a robust development of Chinese medicine in Hong Kong. In 2014, the total exports of Chinese medicines reached USD 452 million, up 9.3% compared to the previous year. ICMCM is the annual premier event of the Chinese medicine and health products industry. This year, the fair will feature more than 100 exhibitors coming from nine countries and regions including Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, Macau, France, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and the US.”

The fair is divided into themed zones, allowing global buyers to easily locate relevant exhibitors and source products to fulfil their needs. These zones include: Beauty & Fitness, Chinese Medicine, Functional Food & Products, Health Supplement, Health Care & Therapy, Research & Development, as well as Raw Materials, Equipment & Related Services among others.

For the first two days (13-14 August), the fair will be exclusive to trade visitors for extensive business discussion and information exchange, providing the ideal platform for trading opportunities. For the last day of the fair (15 August), the public can visit the fair to explore a wide array of Chinese medicines and health products.

Insights Sharing for the Chinese Medicine Industry
An important highlight of the fair is the two-day professional conference on 13-14 August, themed “CM Research & Commercialization on Cardiovascular Diseases” with heavyweight speakers coming from the Chinese mainland, Germany and Hong Kong to provide their expertise and insights into key industry developments, trends and research.

Other events include Exhibitors' Forum, which will provide a platform for exhibitors to present their latest products and services to visitors. On the fair’s public day (15 August), there will be public sharing sessions conducted by Chinese medicine practitioners to give advice on how to apply Chinese medicine to daily life.

Four Concurrent Fairs: Providing One-stop Sourcing Platform
ICMCM will be held concurrently with the HKTDC Food Expo, Hong Kong International Tea Fair and Home Delights Expo from 13 August 2015, showcasing related products under one roof and creating synergy that will benefit industry players. The four fairs will provide abundant trading opportunities and good potential for crossover business activities among the participants from various sectors.
