Recycled Aggregates for Civil Engineering

Recycled Aggregates for Civil Engineering
Product Specifications:
With the imminent exhaustion of available landfill capacity, the Hong Kong Government has promulgated a series of policies to encourage waste reduction, reuse and recycling. However, there are still abundant wastes are being disposed of at landfill due to their low market value.

The NAMI developed new recycling/treatment technology, which involves mainly pelletization and carbonation processes, can turn wastes into lightweight aggregates for civil engineering applications.

  • Reduce landfill burden
  • Green (contains more than 70% "low-value" waste materials)
  • Low energy consumption and carbon negative manufacturing process
  • Low density for better heat and sound insulation
  • Reserves natural aggregates
  • Construction materials, such as concrete blocks
