To highlight Hong Kong’s advantages as an international innovation and technology hub as well as the business platform for smart city technologies, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council will co-organise an inaugural InnoEX in April 2023. Riding on the past success of the HKTDC International ICT Expo, InnoEX will be a prominent one-stop I&amp;T event encompassing insights from influential tech experts and thought leaders, showcase of cutting-edge technologies and disruptive innovations, as well as business exchanges, facilitating regional and cross-sector collaborations among enterprises and government administrations, with a special focus in Asia. InnoEX will be one of the core programmes under the inaugural ‘Business of Innovation and Technology Week’.InnoEX will adopt the EXHIBITION+ hybrid model with the physical exhibition to be held on 12-15 April 2023 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, and the online platform to open from 12-22 April 2023, offering participants a more comprehensive and effective exchange and business matching platform both in person and online. HKTDC Organises Brand-New InnoEX

Convention & Exhibition Industry Subsidy Scheme (C&E)

To further assist companies in exploring markets and business opportunities, the HKSAR Government has launched a one-off subsidy scheme to subsidise companies to participate in exhibitions organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. The scheme will last for one year. All exhibitors (both local and overseas) will be subsidised a maximum of 50% of the participation fee or HK$10,000/ US$1,282 per booth of 9sqm, subject to a cap of 10 booths and HK$100,000/ US$12,820 per company per fair organised by HKTDC. Each exhibitor is required to submit the business registration / company registration documents along with their application in order to enjoy this subsidy. In addition, Hong Kong companies that have obtained subsidy from the scheme, if eligible, can still apply for the Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales (BUD Fund) or the SME Export Marketing Fund (EMF) for funding on a matching basis for the remaining exhibition-related expenses.

Eligible non-listed enterprise registered in Hong Kong can also apply for EMF from the Trade &amp; Industry Department (TID) to cover 50% of the participation fee, subject to a cap of HK$100,000 per fair. As an enhanced measure, the subsidy will be calculated based on the original price.
